Student Council Speech

  Hello, my name is Aditi and I’m running for student council. I would like to explain and elaborate on my reasons on why you should vote for me.

  One thing I will make sure to do when I am elected for this committee is expand our options for our school. For example, our cafe food could use an improvement as it is cold and flavorless by the time we get our lunch. Also, our art supplies in Mr. Walsh’s class has dull pencils, dried out markers, and sharpeners that don’t work very well. If I have the opportunity to solve these problems, I will raise funds, ask Taylor families to donate money to the school, and ask students to bring in unused art supplies from their homes to give to Mr. Walsh for his class.. 

Another reason you should vote for me is because if I am elected, not only will I speak with the student council committee, but give you a chance to speak for your rights and school. I will let students tell the committee what improvements we could make together as a team. Because I believe whether you’re in student council or not, every single student has the right to be heard.

   My last reason you should vote for me is because I will be a great leader for our school and participate to do my part in the student council. So, everyday you come to school, you’ll be energetic and happy to spend your day learning amazing new things and spend time with your classmates, friends, and teachers. Most importantly, I promise to make Taylor the best it can be.
