What is a struggle? The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines the word as “to proceed with difficulty or great effort” In simpler words, it means to try very hard to do, achieve, or deal with something that is difficult or that causes problems. This can be mental issues, physical issues, etc.
For example, I have been struggling with eczema since I was little. It had been depressing and challenging for me, but my family supported and helped me through each step and now I may not have recovered fully, but am improving day by day.
The most difficult experience I struggled with was when my mom was having a baby and was at the hospital with my dad for three days, so my aunt had to watch and take care of me in my parents’ absence.
My aunt and I had a lot of fun during those three days, but it was complex and tough at night. My skin flared up easily, and my aunt was not familiar with cures to stop the issue temporarily. Even though she didn’t know how to deal with the situation, she supported me and tried her level best to help me through these obstacles.
I had felt irritated with my skin, and constantly itched it, hence it started flaring up more as well as my skin becoming a red, bloody color with bloodstains and cuts all over my arms. If I wasn’t busy doing an activity, then I started rubbing my hands really hard on my arm, I felt I would soon have no skin left!
During this complex scenario, my skin also started peeling and shredding vastly. Every morning when I woke up, there were skin peels and my arms looked like them had become mozzarella cheese. Those days, I cried as I suffered tremendously during my pain, but my aunt stayed positive to help me figure out this hot mess. She applied certain oils and creams, which helped my skin stay moisturized. She also kept me busy with constant activities that I enjoyed doing, so I would forget about my struggle.
Eventually, by the time my parents got home, I had recovered and was thankful for my aunt who was there to help me out and stay by my side during the darkest times for me.
Omg!! This is really sweet.
